7. Would this experience encourage you to offer your service to others again in the future? Why or why not?
8. Your opinion re- the following:
Service unit credits are part of graduation requirements in many schools, public and private, throughout the United States.
Do you think that is a good idea? Should CMCS make service unit credits part of its regular graduation requirements? Why or why not?
FYI:
CMCS presently requires 52 credits, a cumulative 3.30 or higher GPA, plus completion of a 30-hour Service Unit for a student to receive the honors diploma and gold cord. A Service Unit currently is not part of CMCS’s regular graduation requirement.

ACT SAT PSAT PLAN Information

ACT

The ACT is the college admissions test required by colleges and universities in the midwest, including Minnesota and the surrounding states. Students should report for testing at 8:00 A.M. on all test dates Please bring 2 pencils and your calculator.

An optional writing component is included on the ACT. Some colleges require this, others do not. Juniors and seniors should check with the college they wish to attend to see if it is required.

SAT

The SAT is the college admission test required by many schools on the east and west coasts. The SAT I: Reasoning Test is a three-hour test, primarily multiple choice , that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities. The SAT II: Subject Tests are one-hour, primarily multiple choice tests in specific subjects. Starting times for the SAT (usually 8 A.M.), and testing location, will be printed on your admission ticket, which you will receive in the mail.

PSAT

The PSAT/NMSQT is given each October to Juniors at Central Minnesota Christian High School. The PSAT is the first step in the National Merit Scholarship competition. It is highly recommended for students who rank in the top half of the class. This fall it will be given on Tuesday, October 17,2007.

PLAN

The PLAN, a preliminary test for the ACT, will be given to sophomores on Tuesday, October 17,2007 at CMCS. It includes an interest inventory. The PLAN is a good practice test for the ACT, which most college bound students will take in their junior and senior year. The score report for the PLAN also gives an estimated
