How You Can Be Involved
Proactive, involved parents make for a positive learning experience at Central Minnesota Christian School. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at the school. Parents can volunteer to be Room Parents, Prayer Warriors, and classroom helpers, just to name a few.
There are also some required activities that parents must take part in. On area is that of our Fundraising Program. This program applies to all families with children in Kindergarten through twelfth grade.
· Each family is asked to work at the Harvest Festival in the fall. The Harvest Festival is an event that is put on by the Parents Club. It includes many activities such as Old Fashioned Ham Dinner, International Bakery, Harvest Blend Coffee House, Snack Shack, The General Store, Holiday Village, Teen Scene, and Kids Carnival. In addition to this there is a silent and live auction.
· Each parent is asked to also help out one Saturday a year at the New 2 You Thrift Store in Willmar. The New 2 You Thrift Store is owned and operated by CMCS. Gracious volunteers from the surrounding churches staff the weekdays. The parents of CMCS students cover Saturdays.
· Each family is asked to sign up for one event from the Society Area
o Fourth of July
o Concessions
o Volleyball or Basketball Tournaments
· Each family is asked to sign up for one event from the Parent Club Area

***There are also leadership opportunities with some of these events.
