Welcome to the choir page of the Central Minnesota Christian School Fine Arts Program. CMCS and choral director Miss Megan Rustad invite students to join us in glorifying our creator and celebrating our roles as His image bearers through various means of creative expression and invention in the area of vocal music.
Central Minnesota Christian high school students have the opportunity to participate in Concert Choir as part of the fine arts requirement for graduation.
Every other year our high school choir students travel to Dordt College to participate in a choir festival day with over 600 other Christian School students from Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. During that day the choir gets coaching from a college professor and then takes part in a mass choir concert in the evening.
Other opportunities for our choir students include the opportunity to participate in a local large group choir festival and a chance to participate in solo and/or ensemble contest in the spring of the year. Our newest vocal program is "One Voice," an auditioned high school men's and women's a cappella group who perform in area churches and school programs as well as singing the national anthem at athletic events.
Our vocal music program begins in 4K and continues through grade 12.
