SCHOOL HISTORY

Central Minnesota Christian School was founded in 1911, in Prinsburg, Minnesota. We are a 4K-12 Christian school.  

Total enrollment this year in grades 9-12 is 93 students.

Central Christian is accredited as a member of Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association. CMCS also has membership in Minnesota Independent School Forum, Christian Schools International, and the Barnabas Foundation.

9-12 CURRICULUM

English (8 credits required) - English 9, Appreciation of Literature, Novels I, Novels II, Modern Literature, English Literature, Composition, College Writing, English 11, Speech

Math (6 credits required) - Alg/Geo I, Alg/Geo II,  Alg/Geo III, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Statistics

Science (6 credits required) - Introduction to Physical Science, Biology, Physiology, Chemistry, Health, Wildlife, Physics

History/Social Studies (6 credits required) - U.S. History, World History, Government, Geography, History Topics, World Today, Psychology

Spanish - Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III

Fine Arts (2 credits required) - Choir, Band, Art I, Art II

Computer/Business (2 credits required) - Computer I,  Accounting I, Accounting II, General Business, Economics, Finance

Bible (5.5 credits required) - Bible 9, Bible 10, Bible 11, Bible 12, TCAL 

Physical Education (1 credit required) - Physical Education, Fitness/Health

Electives - CAD Drafting, Industrial Arts

Other information:

A class service project is required in each grade, 9-12.

44 semester units of credit are required for graduation.

CMCS will award honor tassels to a student who completes at least 52 high school semester credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and who completes at least one Service Unit.

Two service units/student will receive a credit, but not a grade.
