CMCS TRIP Program
Central Minnesota Christian School
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program
What is T.R.I.P.?
T.R.I.P. stands for Tuition Reduction Incentive Program. In the program you purchase scrip/gift certificates or prepaid cards to be used at merchants you normally do business with each week. It doesn't cost you any more than you currently spend. Certificates and cards can be used just like cash.
Who can participate?
1. Parents of children currently enrolled at CMCS.
2. Parents of children who will be enrolled at CMCS K-12 in the future.
3. Grandparents who would like to help pay for their grandchildren's tuition.
4. Anyone who wants to help the T.R.I.P. program.
How do I order?
Order through a family registered in the T.R.I.P. program, OR register to order yourself.
Here's how the T.R.I.P. ordering process works:
1. Orders are placed each TUESDAY. You fill out your order form are indicating the amount and type of certificates you want. Your check for the total amount (made payable to CMCS T.R.I.P.) is enclosed in a 6x9 inch order envelope, along with your completed order form, and brought to the order drop box in each of the school offices.
2. We process the orders, fax them in to a national scrip (certificate) center, and receive them back, usually within a week. Orders are ready to be picked up on the following TUESDAY.
3. Once you have your certificates, they can be used just like cash at participating local merchants. Some retailers also allow us to pay credit card balances with our certificates.
How do we make money?
Because of volume buying CMCS T.R.I.P. is able to order our certificates at a discount - ranging from 2% - 20% --from regional scrip centers. You pay the full face value on each certificate. CMCS T.R.I.P. pays the discounted amount. The difference (minus 1% for administrative costs with the exception of Cub and Cashwise and any gas stations that are 2% or less, you will receive the full credit) , will be credited to your individual family tuition account
