Schnauzers are very good watch and guard dogs. They are often fearless and very protective. They are intelligent, playful, affectionate, and energetic. Schnauzers have a high learning rate but because they can be quite willful they need firm training. They also need dominate owners who can show they are the boss otherwise Schnauzers can become too over protective and take control. This breed does not do well with young children, they will do well only with kids who can be considerate and not too rough with him.

Welsh Sheepdog Puppies

Welsh Sheepdogs (sometimes known as Welsh Collies) are very obedient but not suited to be kept as pets because they are extremely active. The color of Welsh Sheepdogs can vary (usually black-and-white, red-and-white or tricolour) as well as the length of their coat. Welsh Sheepdogs are generally breed to be used as herding dogs. They are very good at their job and can herd sheep, cattle, goats, and even horses and pigs. They can even work independently without necessarily being under direct human control. Welsh Sheepdogs are very friendly, lovable dogs but they need something to keep them busy.

The German Short-haired Pointer is graceful, powerful, energetic, and devoted. He is very loyal to his owner and gentle and patient with children. Pointers are very enthusiastic while hunting but normally calm at home. It is best to socialize them as puppies to avoid their tendency for timidity and being high-strung. Their hunting instincts begin at a young age, even at eight weeks old they start to show pointing behavior. A pointer would be a great dog to have if you are often busy because they are fairly independent. They are also great with other pets and are not usually aggressive.
