Coach Kirk Vanderpol says:
I think that this year was a good building year. We definitely improved our record over last year. It was also a year
of change--new coaches, new styles, different leadership from the seniorsthan the previous year, as well as a ton of learning that I had to do as head coach in finding out all the ins and outs of being a head coach.

All in all, I was very pleased with our teams this year. We learned and
grew in the basics, and we had fun. It would be easy to get down with a not so good record, but I think our teams kept their heads high and had fun playing soccer even with a less than wonderful record.

I'm guessing that next year will be one step easier as we as coaches will
not have to go through such a learning curve. Also, having an idea of all
the little things that need to happen we can plan better and more
efficiently. That being said, each year is new, players change, and our
opponent's teams change.
